The Brain & Body ApproachTM vs. Traditional Chiropractic

Traditional Chiropractic

Traditional chiropractic has one goal in mind—aligning the spine. It also believes that spinal misalignment is the root cause of most conditions.

This paradigm may be innovative and convincing at its time of conception 100 years ago, but so much has changed, and our knowledge of the human body has expanded exponentially. We know that the body is complicated, and the causes of most diseases are multifaceted. In many cases, research shows that if we can approach a problem from multiple angles, the patients do better. We simply cannot take a linear approach when assessing and treating patients anymore.

Aligning the spine may be an excellent goal, but our body is more dynamic than that. Perfect alignment does NOT equal optimal function, and often does not fully address an issue.

The Brain & Body Approach

At Brain & Body Chiropractic, we comprehensively assess the function of your nerves, muscles and joints. We then make a determination to see which dysfunctions are the most relevant to your condition, and we formulate personalized treatments based on that information.

You see, spinal misalignment is not always the cause of your problem. On the other hand, not every abnormal finding is clinically significant, either. The answer to the problem is often not so simple, and we are here to help you decipher those signals your body is giving out.

Our goal is a pretty simple and realistic one. It is not to make you perfect, but for you to be able to enjoy everything you want to do with more ease and better performance.

Of course, our services are not for everyone. However, if you are looking for a long-term solution that you can both feel AND see for yourself, then Brain & Body Chiropractic may be the right place for you. Once the symptoms have significantly reduced, we will teach you how to keep it that way through customized recommendations designed for your spine and nervous system, so that you are not depending on frequent visits to feel good and function well.
