In short the posterior chain is the group of muscles on the backside of our body, specifically the ones that keep us standing upright. Posterior chain activation is directly linked to higher brain function. This connection to the brain and nervous system is very important. If we want our brains to function at their best, we need to make sure we are activating our posterior chain muscles. In a world where computers and phones leave us bent over and slouched we are losing this activation.
